First Day – Our tour consultant will receive you when you arrive at cochin airport / railway station / bus stand and proceed to Munnar. On the way to munnar you can watch the natural wonders like waterfalls, forest, rivers and village life. Your may need around 4 hrs to reach Munnar. After check in enjoy the lunch and relax for the day at resort.
Second Day – Its the time to explore the beauty of Munnar. 13 Must Visit Places in Munnar – Mattupedi Dam, Mattupedi Dairy Farm, Kundala Lake, Top Station, Echo Point, Rajamalai – Part of Eravikulam National Park, Tea Museum, Marayoor Sandalwood Forests, Attukal Waterfalls, Blossom Park, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Tea Plantations and Lakkom Water Falls. Evening back to resort.
Third Day – After breakfast proceed to Thekkady, one of the beautiful wild life sanctuary in South India. On the way to Thekkady, you can enjoy natural beauty of hills, plantations and many more. Check in at hotel and evening proceed for boating through Periyar Lake. You may see lots of wild animals during your trip. if time permits go for a plantation visit and overnight stay at hotel.
Fourth Day – After breakfast proceed to Alleppey backwaters to check in at houseboat. Cruise through Kerala in a houseboat! – Have you ever gone cruising in a houseboat on the backwaters of Kerala? If you haven’t, make sure you do. This one is actually a wonderful and memorable experience! Present day houseboats are enormous, slow moving exotic barges used for leisure trips, and are in fact reworked version of kettuvallams of olden times. The original kettuvallams were used to carry tons of rice and spices. A standard kettuvallam can hold up to 30 tons from Kuttanad to the Kochi port. The kettuvallam is held together with coir knots. Not even a single nail is used during the construction of the boat.. The boat is made of planks of jack-wood joined together with coir. This is then coated with a caustic black resin made from boiled cashew kernels. With careful maintenance, a kettuvallam can last for generations.
Fifth Day – Morning after breakfast get ready to pack up from the houseboat to cochin for your onward journey. We hope you must visit Kerala in near future.
